Wings without Wind, 2014 - 2019

This ongoing project started at BEAMS Festival, Chippendale in 2014 with a work titled ‘Regent lives in a honeyeaters paradise’ with several sets of Regent Honeyeater wings on telegraph poles to draw attention to this then endangered species of bird.

’Wings without Wind’ was a series of installations that followed. They further investigated other species in site specific locations to other birds also missing from those areas. By drawing attention to what was missing and utilising public spaces to convey this message these works were commissioned and shown at Create 2308 University of Newcastle, 2016 & again at EDEN UNearthed, 2019.

Atlantis 2026, 2016

The video work in collaboration with motion graphics artist Ben Trahair seeks to view the worlds expenditure of energy and the very real consequences of climate change, like rising oceans.

Looking 10 years into the future, it tells the story of Atlantis, a great city that falls out of favour with the gods and thus submerges into the Atlantic ocean. Is the future set in stone for our great cites of today to become fated the same to this forboding tale?
